Papers of the Veterans of Future Wars [manuscript], 1936 April.

Manifesto of the Veterans of Future Wars, an organization dedicated to demanding bonuses (adjusted service compensation) of $1,000 to be paid to every male citizen between the ages of 18 and 36 so that it can be spent and enjoyed before they "die in the next war." They also advocated the payment of women (mothers and wives) in the amount of $50.00 per month for the remainder of their lives, as well as an "immediate trip to Europe in holy pilgrimage to view the future battlefields of their present and future children." Also includes poster for an upcoming rally at which Rep. Byron N. Scott would be the main speaker. Harry Rogers Pratt also participated.
